The fourth annual Southeast Club Calf Cruze Junior Steer and Heifer Show, hosted by the Flying F Ranch, was held on May 10. The show results, placed by judge Ian Thackeray, are as follows. In the shorthorn heifer class the winner was Justin Van De Woenstyne with Sadie Anwender coming in second. In the Angus heifer class, Justin Hall was the winner. Coming in second place was Kelsey Dust, followed by Samantha Sentes in third, Nadya McKim in fourth place, Tyson Gutzke in fifth place, Tye Froh in sixth place and Chance Froh in seventh place. In the Maine heifer class, Courtney Bill was first with Brodie Gutzke coming in second and Daniel Fellner placing third. In the all breeds heifer class, Sadie Anwender was the winner. Placing second was Matthew Hordos, while Kayla Hordos came in third, Ryley Gutzke was fourth, Rena Hordos was fifth, Austin Sentes with sixth, Logan Martinson was seventh, Tricia Martinson was eighth and James Hordos was ninth. The Grand Champion heifer went to Justin Hall and the Reserve Champion heifer went to Courtney Bill. The People's Choice Heifer award was given to Justin Van De Woenstyne and Justin Hall received the Bred and Owned Heifer award. In the lightweight steer class, Justin Hall was the winner. Coming in second was Tyson Gutzke, while Kendall Bill was third, Jacey Fellner was fourth, Nevin Gordon was fifth, Chance Froh was sixth, Christine Pineo was seventh, Brant Hockley was eighth, Jada Guest was ninth and Mindy Hockley was 10th. In the medium weight steer class, Krista Dust was the winner and Robert Pineo placed second. Colten Brokenshire placed third, while Cooper Brokenshire was fourth, Justin Van De Woenstyne was fifth, Nicole McKim was sixth, Austin Sentes was seventh, Ryley Gutzke was eighth, Michelle Hordos was ninth and Jackson Guest was 10th. In the heavyweight steer class, the winner was Kayla King and Brodie Gutzke came in second. Third place went to Courtney Bill, while Justin Hall was fourth, Rena Hordos was fifth, Shelby King was sixth, Rachel Mack was seventh, Allison Mack was eighth, Samantha Sentes was ninth and Nadya McKim was 10th. The Grand Champion steer went to Kayla King and the Reserve Champion steer went to Brodie Gutzke. The People's Choice Steer award and Bred and Owned Steer award both went to Kayla King. In the junior showmanship class, Sadie Anwender was the winner and Cooper Brokenshire came in second. Third place went to Jacey Fellner, while Rachel Mack was fourth, Brant Hockley was fifth and Jackson Guest was sixth. In the intermediate showmanship class, Shelby King was the winner and Austin Sentes came in second. Placing third was Alison Mack, while fourth was Daniel Fellner, fifth went to Nicole McKim and sixth went to James Hordos. In the senior showmanship class, Justin Hall was the winner. Coming in second place was Krista Hordos and third place went to Matthew Hordos. Kayla King came in fourth place, Nadya McKim placed fifth and Samantha Sentes placed sixth. |
