The Southeast Regional College
is on the cutting edge of education incentives for the future.
The college is currently located at Souris Valley, and is soon
to be integrated with the Weyburn Comprehensive School.
The college itself was originally founded in 1975 and is a student-centred, community-based institution that serves the entire southeastern region of the province. It incorporates a total of approximately 81,000 students in over 70 communities spread throughout 20,000 square km and offers a wide variety of programs and services.
They include academic development services such as English as a Second Language (ESL) as well as General Education Development (GED) classes, post-secondary education in cooperation with the Universities of Regina and Saskatchewan as well as the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology (SIAST), and skills training in areas such as agriculture, business and industry.
Program delivery methods include on-site, home study, video, satellite and correspondence or tutor-enhanced approaches. The main switchboard number for the Southeast Regional College office is 848-2500 and provides access to information on their entire range of services.
