Many former students of Humboldt Publis School found a shady spot to sit and reminisce on their school years in the historic building at a special reunion for its 100th anniversary, on July 7. An organizing committee was trying to raise funds for a cairn that will be buiilt in memory of the old school when the new school gets under way. An official cake-cutting ceremony was part of the festivies at the 100th anniversary of Humboldt Public School (HPS) on July 7. Cutting the cake together from left: HPS principal Dave Hill, Horixon School District and former HPS principal Superintendent Linda Mattock, and former HPS principal Carol Oleksyn.
