Students from St. Dominic Savio School line up to board Bus No. 1 at the end of their first day of class on Thursday afternoon. The children include Elizabeth Verhaeghe, Mitchell McDonald, Callyn Burns, Dawson Gulash, Meagan Dutchak and Teagen Dubiel. The children are advised to watch both ways for traffic before crossing the street either to board a bus or after getting off; the bus will have flashing lights and a stop sign, which requires all vehicles to stop in both directions, according to the bylaw passed by the city a year ago.
