Over 250 people attended the grand opening and barbecue to mark the launch of the SSR, which is the 11th short-line rail operation in Saskatchewan; it will operate on the Tyvan sub line, which runs for 132 km or 82 miles from Richardson (near Regina) to Stoughton.
