The Weyburn and District Hospital Foundation is a registered charity operated by a volunteer board of directors. Their vision is to build a hospital to serve the people of Weyburn and the surrounding district. To that end, the Foundation strives to make people (in surrounding communities, governments, corporations and service clubs) aware of the desirability of building a new hospital in Weyburn.

Incorporated in 2008, the Foundation has their permanent office located at City Hall in Weyburn. They work to raise the necessary money to construct and equip a new hospital in Weyburn.

The initial focus of the Foundation is to raise awareness of the need for a new hospital, as well to raise funds to cover 35 per cent of the cost of a new hospital, as mandated by the provincial government. It is estimated that the Foundation will have to fund raise roughly $30 million for the new hospital.
