HOOPLA results

The North Battleford Comprehensive High School teams will play for provincial gold.

Friday, the NBCHS girls beat Moose Jaw Peacock 72-59 and were scheduled to play for gold against Notre Dame at 5 p.m. today.

The boys beat Meadow Lake 63-42 and advanced to the gold medal match against Moose Jaw Central. The 4A boys' final was scheduled for 3 p.m. The boys just got off the court and won by 30 points to win gold for the third time in four years.

In 2A girls action, Wikie and Lashburn both lost in the their semifinal games. Wilkie fell 52-35 to Meath Park and Southey beat Lashburn 46-26. I nthe bronze medal game Wilkie won 50-43 to earn the school's first-ever provincial basketball medal.
