The Battle River Watershed Alliance is introducing a recent project with the simple question: “our bodies are 75 per cent water, so what happens to us when our water isn’t healthy?”
The Rolling Down the Battle River Bike Tour for Whole Health intends to address both watershed health and human health with a five-day, 550 kilometre bike tour across the Battle River watershed.
The tour is starting June 17 in Battle Lake, Alta. and finishing in Battleford June 21 with daily distances varying between 70 and 165 km
The BRWA encourages community members to get involved in whatever way they can, as a “streamer” attending a community event, riding a day (or more) or by contributing bike kilometres. The tour objective is to collectively ride one kilometre for every kilometre of tributary feeding the Battle River – 7,500 kilometres.
