Local man killed in paragliding crash in B.C.

A Humboldt resident died following a paraglider crash in British Columbia on June 7. Barry Kleiter, 43, died when his powered paraglider crashed near Enderby. Kleiter had been taking flying lessons for about a week at the time of the accident. Something went wrong while he was flying and the glider fell from a height of about 300 metres into a nearby field. It is not known what caused the crash. The B.C. Coroners Service and the RCMP are continuing to investigate the crash.
