Thunderstorm rolls over Weyburn

Review photo 7419 — Greg Nikkel

A long cylindrical-shaped cloud shaped like a roller swiftly approaches Weyburn from the west, pushed by strong winds and bearing heavy rain and marble-sized hailstones behind it on the evening of June 26. This same system produced a tornado in the Moose Jaw area before it swept through the Weyburn area, and came at the end of two days of hot, humid weather.
