One injured in collision Tuesday

An Estevan man was seriously injured after an accident yesterday in the city.

According to a press release from the Estevan Police Service, a motorcycle and car collided at the intersection of Fourth Street and Ninth Avenue at around 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

The 51-year-old driver of motorcycle suffered serious injuries in the collision and was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment. The driver of the car, a 37-year-old man from Calgary, was not injured.

Police closed the area around the collision for a number of hours to examine the scene. The investigation is ongoing and there have been no updates on the status of the Estevan resident or if charges have been laid.
