Review photo 8019 — Sabrina Kraft

Bob Abbott and Dave Robinson lay a wreath at the Cenotaph in Memorial Park, as veterans of the South Saskatchewan Regiment gather on Saturday to remember the sacrifices made during the Second World War. In the back row, from left are Howard Schmidt, Marcel Frecon, Jesse Balkwill, Keith Inches, Elmer Cole, John Litwin and Gordon Johnston. This year marked the 70th anniversary of when Canadian forces fought in the Dieppe Raid during the Second World War. Members of the South Saskatchewan Regiment were in Dieppe during the final battle.
