Spring wheat ready for harvest

Review photo 8143 — Greg Nikkel

Golden heads of hard red spring wheat wave in the breeze as a combine is ready to straight-cut it during harvest recently on Dale Paslawski’s farm, located north of Weyburn. The warm, dry weather has been ideal for maturing crops and allowing farmers to get their harvest off the fields, although it has been extremely dry, not ideal for those farmers wanting to plant winter wheat or fall rye.
