The future Veterans Road is created in a new subdivision behind Assiniboia Park Elementary School, as construction crews work on leveling the ground for future development. Two new streets will honour all veterans in this new subdivision, one called Veterans Road and the other Veterans Way. The naming of these street was announced by the City of Weyburn last year in November, before Remembrance Day.
