Brightening up the night sky with lights

Review photo 8247 — Greg Nikkel

The night skies over the Weyburn Inland Terminal are lit up by the Aurora Borealis, or Northern lights, late in the evening of Sept. 30 just southeast of Weyburn. The natural phenomena was caused by a large solar flare, which produced the dancing lights in the night sky over a few nights, with the lights at times filling the entire sky overhead, and at times varying in brightness.
