Walkers for diabetes have hot chocolate break

Review photo 8387 — Greg Nikkel

Those participating in the Walk to Cure Diabetes pause at a break station set up by the Weyburn General Hospital for a drink of hot chocolate or coffee, before setting off on the second half of their walk on Sunday afternoon. The walk began from the mall and brought them up Second Street to this point; from here they went down to the courthouse and down Third Street, through the downtown before ending up back at the mall for a pizza lunch and draw prizes. The group of around 200 walkers raised a total of $36,000 towards research on Juvenile Diabetes.
