Sparkly diamonds in the air

Review photo 8929 — Greg Nikkel

Ice crystals sparkle like air-borne diamonds as a breeze blows hoar frost off tree branches overhead, creating a brief blizzard of crystals in the bright sunshine on Dec. 16. The hoar frost had been created by a wintery fog that hung around the Weyburn region over a number of days leading up to Christmas, adding a nice winter touch to the landscape.
