Local photographer Jon Gillies watches as Arts Council curator Ron Ror sets up his photographic entry to the James Weir People’s Choice Art Exhibition at the Allie Griffin Art Gallery.

Entitled “Sparks”, this photo was taken from an apartment building in Regina on Canada Day, during a major electrical storm that hit the city that evening.

The People’s Choice competition is open for viewing, and viewers can cast a ballot for the art works they like best; the winner of the voting process will be announced at a reception on Thursday, Jan. 31 in the Allie Griffin.
