Ryder Selbee carefully hits a screwdriver being held by Carissa Richard as he works at taking apart a five-CD changer, at one of the activity centres at his day care facility on Wednesday. This is a new centre the day care has set up where children learn about different machines by taking them apart, and later they will “invent” new machines by putting the pieces together into new creations that they will design. The city’s day cares were busy last week over the February break.
