Snow covers city after storms

Review photo 1602 — Sabrina Kraft

The Tommy Douglas statue, located on the boardwalk by Highway 39, is buried in a snow drift, which nearly reaches his waist, after two snow storms hit the city on Friday and Sunday. It is estimated that Weyburn received 10 centimetres on Friday and 12.2 cm on Sunday. Since the snow pack is roughly three times the average, Weyburn could have an above-average spring runoff this year.
