Auctioneer Winston Bailey, at front left with microphone, takes bids for the Christmas tree behind him during the Festival of Trees fundraiser held Thursday evening for the Family Place, hosted at the Barber Motors showroom. The fundraiser brought in a total of $60,000, matching last year’s record-breaking amount, with $42,000 of that coming from the live auction of 24 Christmas trees. The highest price paid was $4,200 by Great Plains Ford.
