Sask. Pro Life convention in city for April

The Saskatchewan Pro Life Association Convention will be held in Weyburn, at the McKenna Hall on April 11 and 12.

Residents who are interested in attending have until Tuesday, April 1 to register for the two-day convention. Cheques can be made payable to the Weyburn Pro Life Association.

For information on registration prices, please email choosel...@sasktel.net.

The keynote speaker of the evening is Linda Gibbons, Pro Life  sidewalk counselor and long-term Canadian political prisoner. Linda has spent years in prison, and is willing to spend more, for standing on public sidewalks in front of Toronto-area abortion clinics, peacefully and compassionately reaching out to abortion bound mothers and encouraging them to choose life for their babies.

Linda feels a moral responsibility not to obey an unjust law.

Gibbons was awarded the Diamond Jubilee Medal last October for her “faithful undying battle for justice for pre-born children, at great personal sacrifice”.

There are three other speakers during the two-day convention. Nic Davidson will present a Biblical and liberating approach to human sexuality. Laura Ricketts, executive director of the Guiding Star Project, will speak about her organization; and Peter Labarbera, president of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH), will give a political engagement workshop.
