Protesters picket McKenna Hall

Review photo 4431 — Greg Nikkel

Members of Intolerance Free Weyburn wave signs and cheer with vehicles that honk as they drive by, as they stand opposite from McKenna Hall on Friday in protest of a controversial American speaker, Peter LaBarbera, who spoke on Saturday morning at the Saskatchewan Pro-Life conference held in Weyburn. A number of the protest group came inside to listen to the speakers, and took part in fielding questions at a panel discussion held Saturday afternoon; there were no incidents reported from the weekend, other than pro-life activist Bill Whatcott was asked not to protest in front of McKenna after he displayed some graphic images.
