Over the past decade thousands of music fans from across the prairies and beyond have flocked to Bengough for the annual Gateway Festival.

Scheduled for Friday to Sunday, July 24 to 25, during the weekend the town’s population grows by over 10 times. The Gateway Festival provides an opportunity for people to experience new and diverse artistic experiences in a festival format, during a three-day weekend.

During the three-day weekend, residents can watch entertainment on three different stages. There are other activities, such as workshops, a children’s area with performers and activities, a “concerts and culture crawl”, and many other events during the festival.

The festival is located in the Bengough Regional Park at the south end of Main Street.

Camp sites are located next to the festival grounds and provide access to hot showers and washrooms, an outdoor swimming pool, a cook shack, and the golf course. Sites are conveniently divided into ‘Family’, ‘Quiet’, and ‘Party’ zones to help best match requested weekend plans.

The Gateway Festival is hosted by the Bengough Municipal Arts Council Inc., which is a registered charitable public foundation whose mandate is to contribute to the development of a strong and vibrant cultural community in Bengough and the surrounding area.
