Flash flood causes waters to rise on Railway Avenue

Review photo 5524 — Greg Nikkel

Railway Avenue and Ninth Street become a little lake, after a flash flood causes waters to rise on both streets on Thursday evening. Weyburn received 32.3 mm of precipitation on Thursday night, which was the most received to date in July. The storms moved quickly through the province, bringing hail to some regions — plus sheets of rain and high winds to many others. A few communities were briefly battered by hurricane-strength winds.
