Dave Frayn (Jake) and Ross Vandeweyer (Kid) practice a scene for Crocus 80 Theatre’s production of “Jake and the Kid — Prairie Seasons”. The play is an adaptation of the “Jake and the Kid” radio series, written by W.O. Mitchell. This year marks the 100th birthday for W.O. Mitchell, and he used many prairie-life references in his books. Other cast include Taylor Vogel as Ma, Logan White as Gatenby, Dave Frayn as Jake. There will be three evening performances of “Jake and the Kid — Prairie Seasons” at the Tommy Douglas Centre, on Thursday to Saturday, Aug. 7 to 9 at 7:30 p.m., and a 1 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Aug. 10. Tickets are $15 per person, and are available at Superior Office Products.
