A floating platform fills up with children looking to cool down by jumping into the cool waters of Nickle Lake just out from the beach at the regional park on Thursday. Temperatures reached 32 degrees combined with high humidity, causing advisories to be issued about the humidex levels in the Weyburn area. Provincial health officials also issued an advisory about dealing with the heat, advising people to drink lots of water, avoid strenuous activity in hot, humid weather, and to take frequent breaks in the shade.
