American Eagle launches flights between Chicago and Kitchener-Waterloo

WATERLOO, Ont. - American Eagle, a regional affiliate of American Airlines, has launched daily non-stop service between Chicago and Kitchener-Waterloo.

A schedule with two flights daily in each direction (except on Saturday when there is one flight each way) began on June 14.

Service is between Region of Waterloo International Airport and Chicago O'Hare.

"Non-stop air service to Chicago is a real win for residents of the (Kitchener-Waterloo) region," said Chris Wood, general manager of the Waterloo airport. He noted that connections can be made at O'Hare using American's Oneworld alliance partners.

The Waterloo airport is about 1 1/2 hours from downtown Toronto.

Other airlines using Waterloo International, located just east of Kitchener-Waterloo, include WestJet, Bearskin and Sunwing.
