Members of the Weyburn Police Service dealt with 83 ccomplaints in the week of May 12-18, including theft and mischief. Police were called about a theft of a laptop from a vehicle on May 18. The matter is being investigated.

Police were called by a Weyburn resident on May 12 who claimed he was in Regina and had been assaulted. The matter was passed on to the Regina Police Service.

Police were called on May 12 to investigate a complaint of an emotionally disturbed person. The person was later located and taken for treatment.

Police were called to assist EMS with a medical situation at a local apartment building on May 13.

Police were called to a complaint of a person selling electronics from their vehicle on May 13.

After investigation it was learned the person did not have a business license and was referred to city hall.

Police were called to a vehicle fire on May 14. The fire was determined to be non-suspicious.

Police were called to investigate a report of unsupervised children on May 15. A parent was located and spoken to.

Police were called to a local restaurant to remove two males who were trying to start a fight on May 15. The matter was resolved.

While on patrol police officers broke up a fight between two males at a local bar on May 16.

While on patrol on May 16, police checked a suspicious group on the mall parking lot; one male was arrested for being drunk and was charged.

Police were called to a domestic disturbance in the core area of the city on May 16. The matter was mediated.

Police were called to assist with an intoxicated male who had fallen on May 17. The male was not seriously injured and was taken home.

Residents are reminded that with nicer weather and dry roads bicycles will be taking to the streets. Drivers are urged to use caution and look out for riders and riders are urged to follow the rules of the road.
