Weyburn native Meagan Milatz practices a classical piece on the Steinway piano at the Tommy Douglas Centre, as she prepares to perform there with the Crimson Quartet on Sunday, June 1. Meagan just finished her third year at McGill University, and over the long weekend won first place at the prestigious Shean Piano Competition in Edmonton, taking home the $8,000 first-place prize, and a $1,000 prize for best performance of a test piece.
