DeLaet ties 34th at third WGC event

DeLaet earned $68,500 during the Cadillac Championship. After eight events this year, DeLaet has total earnings of $1,490,966, and is 14th place on the FedExCup.

During the first round of the Cadillac Championships, DeLaet started on the back nine and hit two bogeys on holes 12 and 14 and shot a double bogey on hole 15. Then during the front nine, he shot another bogey on hole four, scored an birdie on hole five, and had a three-over-par shot on hole six, before firing another bogey on hole eight. DeLaet ended the round at 78, six-under-par.

DeLaet had a slightly better second round. He started on the front nine, where he had back-to-back birdies on holes one and two, then a bogey on hole four before shooting another birdie on hole five. Then on the back nine, he shot bogeys on holes 14 and 17, to end the round at par 72.

The best round of the tournament for DeLaet was the third round, where he scored a 70, two-under-par. He started on the front nine, where he shot a birdie on hole two, a bogey on hole six and a birdie on hole eight.

Then during the back nine, he shot three back-to-back birdies on holes 11, 12 and 13, before ending the round with a bogey on hole 18.

Then during the fourth and final round, DeLaet started on the front nine where he shot two birdies on holes six and eight. Then on the back nine he had a bogey on hole 13, a double bogey on hole 17 and shot a bogey on hole 18. His round total was 74, two-over-par.

DeLaet will return to the PGA Tour for the Valspar Championship, which runs from Thursday to Sunday, Mar. 13 to 16.

Earlier in the year, DeLaet competed at the Shriners Hospital for Children Open, the CIMB Classic, the World Golf Championships HSBC Champions, the Farmers Insurance Open, the Waste Management Phoenix Open, the Northern Trust Open, and the World Golf Championships Accenture Match Play.

DeLaet will be participating in the Masters tournament this year, which is only a month away. It will be held April 10 to 13 at the Augusta Golf Course.
