Response is growing for a huge reunion, planned for all Weyburn Comp classes from the 1950s to the 1990s, which is being planned in Weyburn for the end of July in 2016.

Launched by Brad Blakely, Ray Niro and Bryan Onstad, the organizers hope that this event will be Weyburn’s biggest school reunion ever.

To help connect with former students, people can fill out their information at the website: www.reunion2016.com.

Any students who attended the Comp during the time frame are welcome to attend the reunion.

Some tentative events that will be open for all former students include: a registration, meet and greet, catered dinner, and a show including a Rock and Roll 60s, 70s and 80s show in the new Cugnet Centre on Friday, July 29, 2016.

A Show and Shine is planned for Saturday, July 30, 2016, and other events that day include a dinner and/or dance at the Tom Zandee Sports Arena and Weyburn Curling Rink, and tents will be set up in between the two venues for refreshments, memorabilia and food.

Then on Sunday, July 31, 2016, there will be a golf tournament at the Weyburn Golf Club, a pool party for the entire family with a live band, and food provided during the day.

Individual classes who are marking a special celebration of their own, will be able to arrange private functions on the Friday or Saturday of the 2016 reunion.
