Lake Alma group stages sold-out play

Lake Alma (cpd) — The play “Nun’s Trail” had their first performance on Nov. 27 at the Lake Alma Community Hall and played to the Gladmar Regional School students. It continued on Nov. 28 and 29, and a matinee on Nov. 30 with sold-out crowds.

It continued on Nov. 28 and 29, and a matinee on Nov. 30 with sold-out crowds. Additional performances on Dec. 4, 5 and 6 were also sold out. It was a performance that all actors, actresses, prompters, stage crew, and directors as well as the cooking crew should be very proud of.

Craig and Charmaine Offet of Regina picked up Ida Offet and Delores Larsen in Weyburn on Nov. 29 and traveled to Lake Alma where they took in the drama night and supper at the Lake Alma Hall. Craig and Charmaine went back to Regina after returning the ladies to Weyburn.

Word was received of the passing of Leonard Hestad on Nov. 14, at Castor, Alta. He is survived by his family Lionel (Sandra) Hestad of Armstrong, B.C., Glenda Hestad of Red Deer, Alta., and Brad Hestad of Castor, Alta.; as well as other family and friends.

Suzanne Brown of Rocanville arrived in Weyburn on Dec. 4 and her and her mother, Ida Offet, travelled to Regina where Ida had a medical appointment.

They did some shopping and spent an hour with Darcie and Janessa Bell checking out their new apartment. Suzanne had a short visit with Annette Lohse that evening and stayed overnight with the Offets’ returning to Rocanville on Dec. 5.

The Offets traveled back to Regina for a dental appointment on Dec. 5 and eye appointment on Dec. 6 and were overnighters with Donald and Marie Jacobson. They returned home to Weyburn on Dec. 7.
