Museum caboose ready for CPR 125th

Art Wallace, the president of the Soo Line Historical Museum Society, stands at the newly refreshed caboose at the Museum grounds. The Museum received grant funding to refresh this caboose, and also received legacy gifts from the Canadian Pacific Railway, as the CPR will be marking their 125th anniversary on Nov. 7. This caboose was built in 1947, and at that time was used as the living quarters for the train crew. Other CPR items donated to the museum include silver that were used on Canadian Pacific dining cars, and crockery that were used as serving plates. Wallace had worked for the CPR from 1947 to 1986, and noted that two other Weyburn locals also worked during that time, Bill Swanson and Roy Loos.Review photo 2295 - Sabrina Kraft
