The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce is setting plans in place for their annual Fair Parade, to be held this year on the first day of the Weyburn Fair, on Monday, June 30, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

The chamber is taking entries for this event, which is the official kickoff to summer in Weyburn, and will help start off the three-day Fair for 2014.

The lineup of floats will start at 9:30 a.m. on Fifth Avenue North starting around 16th Street.

A Chamber representative will be waiting at the beginning of the lineup to help direct floats as they arrive at the marshalling area. As the entries will be judged prior to the parade, the Chamber asks that floats be in place no later than 9:30.

From the marshalling point, the parade will go west to Fifth Street and south to First Avenue, over to Second Street to Prairie, then to Third Street to head through the downtown area. The parade will head north up Second to Bison, then up Government Road back to Fifth Avenue.
