Entries open for Legacy Golf tourney

Entries are being sought for the fifth annual Legacy Golf Tournament, which will be held at the Weyburn Golf Club on Saturday, July 12. Many entries have already been received, so interested golfers are encouraged to contact Elmer Franks to register.



Entries are being sought for the fifth annual Legacy Golf Tournament, which will be held at the Weyburn Golf Club on Saturday, July 12.

Many entries have already been received, so interested golfers are encouraged to contact Elmer Franks to register.

Entries can also be aforward to the Weyburn Golf Club. The entry fee is $500 for a team of four, and that includes green fees, power carts, souvenirs and a prime rib supper.

The shotgun tee time will be at 12 noon. There will also be a silent auction, as well as a live auction of sports memorabilia. Auction items will feature jerseys from Brendon LaBatte from the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Brett Jones from the Calgary Stampeders, and Kyle Paterson, who was drafted by the Riders. Sports celebrities from the Weyburn Red Wings and the Regina Pats will also be in attendance.

All proceeds from the Legacy Golf Tournament go directly to the Weyburn Golf Club, to help pay down debts.
