Government Relations minister Jim Reiter makes some remarks to the councils of the RM and City of Weyburn following a historic joint meeting held to formally approve the new District Plan for the Weyburn region on Monday evening. Now that the two councils have approved the plan, Reiter's ministry will now go over the plan in the next few weeks before granting their final approval. The plan was about three years in the making by the Weyburn and District Planning Commission, of which the City and RM were members, along with the Chamber of Commerce and staff from both municipalities.
