Lake Alma to host trade show event

Lake Alma (cpd) - The annual Lake Alma Trade Show will be held on Sunday, May 4, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Any trade or craft interested in renting a table for $20 should contact Amanda Fradette or Cherie Roysum.

A community garage sale will be held at the Lake Alma Hall on Friday, Apr. 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., sponsored by the library. A bake sale will take place at 11 a.m., and there will be a book sale with proceeds to be used for new DVD collection, books and programming for the library. Table rent is $20; if interested contact Bernice Bloor, Deb Petersen or Mavis Storle. See you at the sale.

Clare and Ida Offet traveled to Moosomin on Mar. 26 to stay with their grandchildren, Callie, Jensen, Cael and Tahlaya Offet while their mother Deena Offet and Todd Volk along with a group of friends holidayed in the Bahamas from Mar. 21 to 29. Marg and Harold Blackmore of Regina, the other grandparents, stayed with the Offet children from Mar. 20 to 26. The Offets returned home to Weyburn on Mar. 31.

Karen Janke of Lundar, Man., spent three weeks with her granddaughter, Jody and Ian Fladeland of Weyburn getting to know her new great-granddaughter, Brianna Denise, who was born on Feb. 14, as well as cuddling Hannah and Jessica. She returned home on Mar. 24 to lots of snow while a lot of it has disappeared around Weyburn.
