Library read-in

Over 200 people crowded the sidewalk in front of MLA Dustin Duncan’s office on Fourth Street on Friday, as part of the province-wide “Drop Everything and Read” protest held in support of the public library system. The grassroots movement in support of libraries came in response to the provincial government’s 58% cut to the funding to the regional libraries in Saskatchewan, a cut that was retroactive to January 1 of this year.
