Leonard and Helen Kutz sit on the newly-unveiled bench, set in Allen Park in memory of their granddaughter Abbie Speir. The small tree in front of them was planted by Abbie’s parents, and Abbie’s sisters spoke in tribute to their sister as a large crowd gathered in the park in Yellow Grass to remember Abbie. This was part of Abbie’s Day in Yellow Grass on Saturday, which included a day-long slowpitch ball tournament, and a supper and cabaret in the evening at the Communiplex, which included a large silent auction, with all proceeds from the day going to the trust fund set up for Abbie’s children.
