Curator Regan Lanning pointed at different aspects of an art work about “The Little Mermaid”, which used materials like feathers and cloth as elements of the picture, during a tour for a Grade 1 class from St. Michael School through the James Weir People’s Choice competition. There are works of art from 38 artists in this year’s competition set up in the Allie Griffin Art Gallery at the Weyburn Public Library, and voting by the public will be held from now until mid-February, when the votes will be tabulated.
