Police investigate B&E at Beavers shack

Police attended to a report of a break-and-enter to the Weyburn Beavers Merchandise Shack at Tom Laing Park. The break-and-enter appears to have occurred between July 30 and August 1, and numerous clothing items were reported stolen.

Police attended to a report of a break-and-enter to the Weyburn Beavers Merchandise Shack at Tom Laing Park. The break-and-enter appears to have occurred between July 30 and August 1, and numerous clothing items were reported stolen. No suspects have been identified at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
Police received a report of graffiti on a building in the 100 block of Third Street SE on Friday. Police patrolled the area and the subsequent investigation identified 15 separate addresses where, during the evening, suspect(s) had spray-painted buildings or fences. No suspects have been identified, and the incidents remain under investigation.
Police were called to a local car dealership after a vehicle was found to have the windshield smashed on Sunday. The incident remains under investigation.
The Weyburn Police Service were advised of a motor vehicle-bicycle accident on a residential street on July 30. The bicycle had run into the back of a car causing damage but had left the scene. Police were able to locate the bicyclist who agreed to pay for the damages. No charges were laid.
Weyburn Police Service members arrested two individuals who had outstanding arrest warrants from Moose Jaw for breach of undertaking on July 30. The 30-year-old male was remanded in custody for court on August 1st, while the 19-year-old female was released to appear in court at a later date.
Members of the Weyburn Police Service were called to a report of three males fighting at a local bar on July 30. Police attended and found the individuals walking away from the parking lot. The individuals were spoken to and to ensure their safety they were given rides home. No charges were laid.
While on patrol a member of the Weyburn Police Service observed a male breaching his release conditions on July 31. The 24-year-old male was arrested and charged with breach of an undertaking and was held overnight for court on August 1.
The Weyburn Police Service received a call of a possible impaired driver approaching the City on Aug. 1. Police located and stopped the vehicle a short time later. The driver, a 33-year-old male, had been drinking and blew a warning, but was not charged criminally. It was also determined he was driving while suspended and was charged accordingly. His passenger, a 28-year-old male, was found with open liquor, and was also issued a ticket.
Weyburn Police members arrested a 55-year-old male for being intoxicated in public on Aug. 1. The individual was also charged with breaching a probation order. He was later released from custody when sober and will appear in court at a later date.
While on patrol on Aug. 2, Weyburn Police members conducted a traffic stop and found the driver, a 30-year-old female, to have been driving while impaired. The accused was arrested and transported to cells, where she was charged with drive while impaired and over .08. She was later released from custody and will attend court later this month.
Police were called to a local bar for reports of a fight on Saturday. Upon arrival police located one individual who was suffering from minor injuries from an assault. The matter remains under investigation.
City police were dispatched to an assault in progress at the corner of Coteau and 18th Street on Sunday. Police determined it was domestic related and the situation was mediated with no charges being laid.
