Weyburn police investigating vandalism to Heritage Village

Sometime overnight June 26, an unknown suspect(s) gained entry to the Heritage Village compound and caused damage to the some of the buildings and other property. It is unknown exactly when this happened.

Sometime overnight June 26, an unknown suspect(s) gained entry to the Heritage Village compound and caused damage to the some of the buildings and other property. It is unknown exactly when this happened. The Weyburn police are looking to speak to the owner of a small white car that was observed parked near the fence about 9 p.m. on June 26.
This vehicle may or may not have anything to do with the incident, but the police would like to speak to whoever was driving the vehicle.
• Police received a report of an assault that occurred during the Canada Day fireworks on Friday night. The matter is still under investigation.
• City police received a report of damage done to a vehicle parked at a downtown business at about 8:40 p.m. on Thursday. As the result of the investigation, a 17-year-old male is being sought and charges are pending.
• City police received a report that a vehicle’s window had been smashed out on June 27. The vehicle was parked in the 300 block of Third Avenue SE.
• City police responded to a two-vehicle non-injury collision on Clarke Avenue near Washington Drive at about 8:35 a.m. on June 28. A 40-year-old female was charged with driving without due care and attention.
• Police conducted a traffic stop at about 11:30 p.m. on June 27. As a result of the stop, a 19-year-old male driver from Alberta was issued a roadside suspension.
• Police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on June 28. The matter was mediated without further need for police intervention.
• The Weyburn police were advised of a vehicle/pedestrian collision at about 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday and attended the Weyburn General Hospital. A 69-year-old female was struck while crossing the street. She was treated and released from the hospital. The matter is still under investigation.
• The Weyburn police received a call about a 19-year-old female who was threatening self-harm on Saturday. With the assistance of EMS, the female was transported to the local hospital for assessment.
• City police received a call regarding a domestic dispute at about 2:20 a.m. on Sunday. Upon attending the 22-year-old male had left the property. He was located a short time later and was arrested for being intoxicated in public and held in cells until sober.
