Michael
Nick Coroluick
Born Sept 1/1928, died July 18, 2008. Following a courageous battle with cancer, on July 18, 2008, Mike Coroluick, husband of the late Doris Coroluick and a longtime resident of Bengough passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of family at his home in Bengough at the age of 79 years. Michael Nick, son of Nicolai and Elizabeth (Petrescu) Coroluick was born Sept 1, 1928 on a farm three miles west of Wood Mountain. He attended school in Wood Mountain at the Ambassador School and later at the Old Post Wood Mountain School. He started his 9th year in school but didn't finish due to the need to work on the threshing crew for his Dad's farm. He never went back to school but began a career of horse trading, sheep herding, cattle ranching and farming. While farming in Wood Mountain, he became engaged to Doris Johnson, a school teacher from Gifford School and on January 12, 1951 they were married. They sold the farm there in 1952, and moved to Assiniboia where Mike began working with United Grain Growers. In April, 1953 he became the elevator agent at Harptree, a career that lasted 10 years. It was in Harptree that they started their family of four boys and a daughter. In 1957, they purchased their first land at Harptree and in April of 1963, moved to the farm, east of Harptree. The farm and ranch kept growing and Mike enjoyed the work with his purebred Polled Hereford cattle and going on bull purchasing trips to the states. Two of his favorite accomplishments were being the Trail Boss of a trail ride to Wood Mountain in 1967 and another to Plentywood in 1971. He was happy to have his family involved with both trips. Mike and Doris were pleased to make a few winter vacations to Florida, Hawaii and to Texas and came back with great memories. In 1977 they semi-retired to Bengough, where they purchased an acreage on the south side of town. This became a labor of love and through an amazing amount of work, they transformed and rebuilt the yard. Mike loved the outdoors and loved to keep busy. He participated in many community projects but one of his greatest prides was his work with the Community Tree Club establishing numerous shelterbelts on the treeless farm land. Mike's hobbies included raising rabbits, a pheasant hatchery, and finally, goats. He loved just sitting and watching the new born animals playing and fighting with each other. He was pleased to help anyone with a bit of welding, but was most excited when he could be a bit more creative and his yard is a testament to his last few years of working with metal. Mike will be remembered for his sense of humor and his practical jokes. He seemed to revel in catching an unsuspecting neighbor, friend, son or daughter with some prank. His kids remember the lessons he taught them about electricity and the magic of the electric fence. Mike was predeceased by his wife, Doris, in 2006. By his parents, Nicolai and Elizabeth Coroluick, his sister, Virginia Zaharuik and brothers in law, Pete Popescul, Alex Zaharuik, Bill Hysuick and Lee Hysuick. He will be remembered by his five children and their families: Nick (Kathy) of Weyburn and their children: Shauna (Alex) (their children Liam and Eden), Megan (Shane) and Courtney (John); Darryl (Anne Marie) of Medicine Hat, Alta. and their children: Tammy (Troy Murschell) (their children Dawson and Nicolas), Scott (Shauna) Collins (their children Nathan and Jacob); Doug (Brenda) of Bengough, and their children Ryan (Natasha) (their daughter, Dylynn) and Corinne; Alan of Medicine Hat, Alta. and his children Shaun and Krista (Steve)(son, Trey); and Barb (Dennis) Skogstad of Armstrong, B.C. Sisters Helen Hysuick, Victoria Hysuick and Rosalie Popescul of Assinniboia and brother, Gus (Helen) Coroluick, Assiniboia. The funeral was held on Monday, July 21 at 2:00 pm in the Bengough United Church. Lunch followed at the Bengough Community Centre. Interment at the Mount Hope Cemetery, Assiniboia. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be sent to Bengough Community Center. Funeral arrangements are in care of Piche-Hawkins-Grondin Funeral Chapels. Gravelbourg - Assiniboia.

Interment to take place at a later date. Honorary Pallbearers
are considered all of his special friends. Branden was born on
September 21, 1988 in Regina. Branden was a very special young
man who had a unique ability to brighten and bring joy into the
lives of every person he knew. He had that little grin and look
with his eyes that could melt the hardest heart and all you could
do was smile. For if there was one thing that Branden knew best
how to fix, it was a frown. Branden's whole world revolved around
his deep love and respect for his family and friends. He cherished
every special time that was spent with his family. As a young
man, Branden could fix just about anything, whether is involved
carpentry, electronics or metal work. As a boy, Branden could
always be counted on to be taking something apart that should
have been left together. Branden worshiped his mom, idolized his
dad, and loved his sister with all his heart and soul. They were
the most important people in Branden's world. He was one of those
few people who are truly pure of heart. He held malice towards
no one. If someone needed help, he would be the first person to
offer assistance, he had no hidden agendas. His compassion and
caring held no boundaries; what you saw was what you got. Little
children were drawn to him like a pin to a magnet. They could
sense that Branden was kind, gentle and caring, and they were
completely at ease in his presence. Branden had a unique ability
to make friends. He could walk into a room full of total strangers,
and within a few minutes he would be visiting with someone. Within
an hour, he would be a friend to everyone there. As a little boy,
he delivered the leader post and cut grass so he could make a
few dollars to buy more collectable toys, so he and his dad could
take them to a toy show. But no matter what he might have been
doing, one thing was certain, he was making friends and gaining
the respect of everyone he came into contact with. Branden lived
in Radville until graduation at which time he moved to Estevan
to pursue his career in Welding. Branden was an exceptional welder.
Branden was currently working for Cory Dukart Welding. His work
ethic was incomparable, but few people may know that although
Branden loved tinkering and working on cars and of course welding,
his real true love was farming. From an early age he wanted to
drive tractors and combines. As Branden grew into a young man,
that sarcastic wit and unique sense of humor became one of the
endearing trademarks of Branden. Also his never ending supply
of bizarre t-shirts that were just another extension of the great
love of life that typified his very heart and soul. He loved to
golf, fish, go camping, volleyball, slo-pitch, play cards and
boating. We are thankful that each of us has had the unbelievable
good fortune and the privilege to have had Branden as a part of
our lives for these past 19 years. So rarely we are blessed to
know someone who has been able to bring joy, love and happiness
into the lives of every person they meet. Branden was truly a
great gift to each of us, and we are all better for having had
him as a part of our lives. Branden will live forever in our hearts.
Donations may be made in memory of Branden to the Radville Kinsmen
Club, Radville. Arrangements entrusted to Fletcher Funeral Chapel,
