It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ken Ogden, husband, father and grandfather, late of Fillmore, on Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at the age of 92 years.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ken Ogden, husband, father and grandfather, late of Fillmore, on Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at the age of 92 years. Ken was predeceased by his infant son Thomas Kendol; parents Amy and Roy Ogden; father and mother-in-law Rudy and Lillian Hanson; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Mel (Ila), Cliff (Lillian) and Gordon (Jean); two brothers-in-law Dale Hanson and Glenn Foss; nephew Wes Foss; niece Cleone Phillips (nee: Nurse). Ken is survived by his wife of 67 years Dolores Ann; his children: Lynn (Dave) Johnstone, Shelly Luchenski, Tracy (Sandra) Ogden and Trevor (Angela) Ogden; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sisters Maxine Foss and Shirley (Gerald) Nurse; sister-in-law Vi Hanson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ken was born on the farm January 14, 1922 where he lived until 2007 when he moved to Fillmore. He joined the air force in 1942-1945. Married in 1947 to Dolores Ann Hanson. Ken was severely burned on June 2, 1948 and spent 12 days short of a year in hospital. Ken returned to the family farm and continued to farm until 2007. Ken loved to garden, hunt, play cards, visit and tell jokes. Ken’s sense of humour and joke telling was second to none. He was an active member of the Fillmore Community for his entire life. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A Service of Remembrance for Ken was held on Tuesday, November 18 at 2:00 p.m. from Fillmore United Church, Fillmore with Rev. Ann White, officiating. Interment followed the service at Fillmore Cemetery, Fillmore. Lunch followed at Fillmore Memorial Hall.
