Patricia (Millar) Hood passed away from kidney disease on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at the age of 62 years in Regina, with her family at her side. She is remembered by her daughter Jennifer (Chris) of Regina; son Nigel (Jessica) of Edmonton, AB; grandchildren Lily, Finn and Ferguson; brothers Terry (Brenda) and Bruce (Kim); sisters Diane (Barry), Norma (Andy) and Connie (Dean); in-laws Sharon, Marvin, Rodney, Debbie and Jean; reunited daughter Carolyn (Michel), Jack, Julia and Kate; and many other family and friends.  Pat was predeceased by her husband Peter; brother Warren; and parents Knox, Julia and Norm. Pat was born May 18, 1953 in Saskatoon. In her youth she enjoyed basketball, volleyball, art and caring for her youngest sisters. In 1972 she graduated as a Nursing Assistant from SIAST in Yorkton, then worked at the Regina General Hospital and Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. She briefly moved to Calgary, AB before marrying Peter Hood in May 1976. Pat stayed home with the kids until after Peter’s job moved the family from Prince Albert to Weyburn in 1985. She nursed there prior to moving to Regina upon Peter’s death in 2002. In Regina, she worked in various care homes until she began dialysis in 2008. Pat served as Honoured Royal Lady in the Royal Purple, President of the LPN Association of Sask., President of Industrial Parks Rotary Club, and member of the Legion and Crown Jewels. She enjoyed gardening, preserving, ceramics, pottery, painting, cross-stitch, sewing, road trips, coaching sports and coffee or cards with friends. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to sign the online obituary and tributes page at www.regina-memorial.ca.
