It is with great sadness that the family of Sandra McCartney, nee Fogel, announce her passing on Thursday, February 27, 2014 one day shy of her 70th birthday. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Scott (Kirsten), granddaughter Katelyn, niece Jill Fogel, sister-in-law Margaret Fogel; as well as many close friends and nursing colleagues. Sandra was predeceased by her brother Harold, father Gus and mother Julia. Sandra was a graduate of the Royal Alexandra Nursing School in 1965. Her lifelong nursing career provided her with many friends and memories. A Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 2:00p.m., at Glenwood Funeral Home, South of Wye Road on Range Road 232, Sherwood Park, Alberta. Interment has taken place at Glenwood Memorial Gardens. In memory of Sandra donations may be made to the Alberta Humane Society or to WIN House (Women In Need).
