The village also had a barbecue, demonstrations and activities, and there was an entertainment tent throughout the weekend, along with a play, "Jake and the Kid", displays and bread-making contest at the museum, and the annual Horticulture Show at Knox Hall on Friday. The weekend also marked a celebration of the 100th birthday of acclaimed author and Weyburn native W.O. Mitchell.
