Children and their leaders lift up the parachute high before running underneath to sit down under it, during one of the children's games held at the Heritage Village for the annual Weyburn Wheat Festival on Saturday. The village also had a barbecue, demonstrations and activities, and there was an entertainment tent throughout the weekend, along with a play, "Jake and the Kid", displays and bread-making contest at the museum, and the annual Horticulture Show at Knox Hall on Friday. The weekend also marked a celebration of the 100th birthday of acclaimed author and Weyburn native W.O. Mitchell.
