The staff at the Soo Line Historical Museum are into the spirit of the 18th annual Wheat Festival, as the museum will be hosting the bread-baking contest and the saskatoon or rhubarb pie social on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 8 and 9.
The staff at the Soo Line Historical Museum are into the spirit of the 18th annual Wheat Festival, as the museum will be hosting the bread-baking contest and the saskatoon or rhubarb pie social on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 8 and 9. Entries for the bread-baking contest can be brought to the museum by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7, and will be on display from 9 to 5 Friday, plus there will sales of home-made bread and pie from 11 to 4 on both Friday and Saturday. The museum will also have a quilt show on display along with their regular displays, including the Charlie Wilson silver collection, the largest private collection in the world. The people mover will bring visitors to the Wheat Fest to and from the museum, along with Signal Hill, the T.C. Douglas Centre and the Heritage Village, on Friday and Saturday of the Wheat Festival.
