The fifth annual Redvers and District Oil Showcase will be hosted on Thursday and Friday, May 8 to 9. An industry event such as the Redvers and District Oil Showcase allows professionals much needed one-on-one networking opportunities. Industry representatives have a unique chance to get together to view the latest innovations, products, services and developments in the oil business.
The response for this year's show was phenomenal once again - very similar to the 2012 show. Organization of this event was a great experience, with a positive response from the industry players, and the community.
The showcase organizing committee has worked hard to ensure that industry representatives in the area are aware of this event. The committee is made up of representatives from the Energy Sector within the district - all with different backgrounds and in various different positions, which helps to ensure diversity within the show.
Set-up for outdoor booths will begin today, May 7, and inside booths on Thursday, May 8 at 8 a.m. Doors open to the public for the trade show at noon.
There will be a trade show at the skating rink surface at the Redvers Rec. Centre on both days, open to the public free of charge. It will run from noon to 4 p.m. on Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday.
The daycare volunteers will be serving lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and coffee from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A roast beef and pork supper will be served at 6:00 p.m. The guest speaker for the dinner is Tim McMillan, minister of Energy and Resources, and minister responsible for Tourism, Trade and SaskEnergy.
Events on Friday, May 9, started with an exhibitor breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
